Way too early to say if Broner would get pantsed by the elite at 140-147. While he certainly didnt look great vs Paulie and doesnt seem to have welterweight power, we have to see how he does in his next fight.

Al and most of the showtime guys are unbiased, HBO is the only crew that plays favorites.

Extreme favoritism from the commentators.

Al Bernstein even criticized on Abner Mares for hitting low who is basically the star 122 pounder for showtime so it shows they let the guys be real there and don't coach them to play favorites.

The only guy who was playing favorites was that football announcer Gus Johnson I think he was more of a hype man he was hyping the guys up who fought on Showtime.

I just can't see how one can gauge another fighter's punching power when his opponent's main objective is to fight backing up while avoiding exchanges and trading punches.

If Broner doesn't have any power then why didn't Paulie just decide to stand and trade toe to toe and fight flat-footed? However, he didn't. He decided to fight a very defensive fight by constantly moving and fighting off the back foot. It's very hard to hit and hurt a moving opponent; Especially a fighter who is as economical with his punches as Adrien Broner is.

Was paulie fighting defensively when he stood in front of Broner and threw 4-5 body shots in a row while Broner stood there looking at him? I mean at times PM was basically staring at Broners body like he had a crush on him while he was throwing and Broner didn't throw back. I scored the fight for Broner but he fought a bad fight.

Honestly i don't mind Broner, but he has a lot of work to do to reach the level his fans have already put him at.

Size wasn't a factor in the Malignaggi fight even if Broner did technically move up two weight divisions. So in terms of assessing him as a fighter i would say the two weight jump is kind of a moot point...
