Its funny because real fight fans that have been following the sport take emotion out of the equation. There are over 170 posts discussing what a fighter should or shouldn't do as far as a press tour. The man lives in Argentina not in the states ! The man is in the middle of camp etc... why does anyone on here care? Its like these boxers are your super heroes and shyt.. real fight fans put $ up ! They don't fall into speculation and what ifs. They place bets just like horse's run for the $ - boxers fight for $ - danny didn't sound that angered by Lucas not coming out, so why the *** would any you? This is going to be a good fight let it materialize and leave your amatuerish mind games , thoughts, and beliefs out of the equation. If people on here really knew what it takes to be a professional prize fighter, the years, dedication, injuries, etc then just about eceryone on here wo uld have less negatives to say about pac /mayweather / mares / rigo / and on and on -

This is B.S..... press tours and face offs are apart of the package deal and if Lucas is as bad ass as everyone claims then he would want to get in Danny's face and break him down mentally but he skipped it all together. If Danny Garcia would have cancelled then all of Matthysse fans would have said he was scared of Matthysse so I'm definitely not going to give him a pass for passing up an opportunity to get more fans. So what if Floyd and Canelo is making it big. Dudes got to make their own names as well. No excuses why Lucas ducked out of the press tour. It was only 3 cities. How would this affect his training? Thought this cat was some kind of beast according to his fans. He talked a lot of smack about Garcia being scared and so forth but he ain't even trying to get up in Garcia's face?

But Manny's schedule is waaay more tighter than Matthysse and he leaves his country back and forth to get it in and Manny doesn't have to do nothing if he doesn't want to. $#!t is apart of the fight game. Khan lives in England and trains in Oakland. Fighters travel all the time and put in work. No excuses because if it was Danny Garcia then I'm sure you would be singing another tune.

I understand why Lucas would not go with it but it is a business, and what bothers me is that if it was Danny no one would let him off the hook, but Lucas gets a free pass out of popularity? That's just lame man.

Had Garcia been the one who refused, it would be Garcia fans defending the decision and Matthysse fans criticizing him. Both sides get heated and irrational when discussing this match-up, resorting to disrespecting the fighters to piss the other side off. The most important thing is that the fight is happening at the best time in both of their careers on a Mayweather under-card. Some are acting like the fight itself just got cancelled lol

The biggest concern is that both guys come in as physically/mentally prepared as possible. Would it have been entertaining to hear Angel go off and try to get under LM's skin? Very much so. It would've also been nice to get a faceoff. However, if LM would rather sacrifice the extra press/attention to get his mind/body/soul right, then his decision should be respected and left at that. I know I won't be losing any sleep over it.

You do the press tour, go to a local gym and get your training in, go to another city, go to a local gym and get your training in. That's how it goes. They are scared of Angel Sr's ugly face. i doubt danny is "angry" over anything. perhaps he's trying to puff up his image after looking like a total b*tch stalling the contract. maybe angel is angry over somethin cause dude ain't relevant without these press tours. fight's already sold out, let the fighters do their thing.

Yeah but you gotta put that other work in too. This is a TREMENDOUS opportunity for both Lucas an Danny - not only cos it'll lead to Mayweather, but because there will be a huge amount of eyeballs on this fight - and so doing all the PR is a necessary evil. Mayweather does it, Pacquaio does, and those two guys train like beasts.

I understand we are all riding with Lucas but that doesn't mean we need to glorify every single thing he does, including missing important promotional events
