I agree, a draw was fair. Teddy's 9-1 score was embarrassing. I was like, "GTFOH, Teddy." Then he compounded his ridiculousness by ranting about "what's wrong with boxing" after the judges disagreed with his scoring.

Franco got it, was close but Franco got most of the points.
Teddy should be fired for incompetent.

96-94 Fortuna was the most accurate score. 95-95 was possible but 99-91 Franco was just some BS even the few rounds that Franco did win where close rounds that could've went either way..

This is why I cringe at 10 round fights, had it been 12 rounds we would have a more clear idea of who really won.

Out of the 2 I'd rather see Fortuna fight again. He's not afraid to take risks and is more entertaining Franco fights too much like a amateur still and made Fortuna resort to fighting like one to accommodate..

God only knows why, but I like Teddy. lol Nonetheless, he had me rolling my eyes with his nearly shutout score for Fortuna last night. He was so off it's crazy. Then he went into his now predictable rant after the official scores were announced about the state of boxing. How nuts does he sound when it's clear that his score was at least as bad as the judge that had Franco winning 99-91?

But my favorite Teddy fuck up from last night was when he related an anecdote about the former major league pitcher Pedro Martinez. Teddy said that Pedro used to yell, "Who's your daddy?" at the Yankees, whenever he pitched against them. The real story is that Martinez was once interviewed after a post-season game and asked about his poor success against the Yankees. Pedro's response was, "What can I say? I just tip my hat and call the Yankees my daddy."

A close score, in either direction, would've been reasonable. Those wide scores, both Teddy's and that judge's, were head-scratching.

There's no doubt, Fortuna is the more appealing fighter to watch, but Franco has his charms. Luis fought the way he did last night because he was trying to avoid having his head taken off. It's understandable. They usually don't award you the fight when you're lying on the canvass unconscious.

The way Teddy snickered when he saw their votes after 4 was so off par with his score (he had Fortuna up by 2 after 4 - he scored round 3 10/10 round and FB fans had Franco with a shutout) was ridiculous. He might as well have just told the entire FB community that they were idiots. He was so bias for Fortuna he couldn't even give Franco round 3, he had to make it a 10/10 round.

Lol, yeah you could tell who Teddy wanted to win. The other commentator (his name is at the tip of my tongue) was pretty upset the fans on Facebook had Franco winning by a landslide after the 4th round.

The reason Joe sounded so upset was because when he read the FB scores, he was so blinded by Teddys opinion that he actually read the FB score as the fans had FORTUNA with a shutout. That's when Teddy said, "No, it says Franco not Fortuna" and then went on with his snickering like nobody but him knows whats going on.

I can't listen to Teddy anymore, he ruins the whole atmosphere for me.

I thought Teddy had it 9-1 for Fortuna. I didn't see a 10-10 round on his card. But, yeah, no one else but him knew what was going on. lol Teddy embarrassed himself further by ranting about how "change is needed" in boxing after the fight. There was nothing controversial about that decision. A draw was quite reasonable and didn't surprise me at all.

I laughed at that. Joe basically follows Teddy's lead. I still enjoy Teddy's analysis, although he can be overly silly, but I've lost all regard for his scores by now.
