He has a lot of raw talent but yes Gamboa shouldn't be in his near future! I think he realized this after the fight. He showed Franco a lot of respect and he didn't protest the outcome!! I found both of them to be classy and show not only great respect but also sportsmanship

I'd be mad too if the judges made it a habit of making my cards look bad.

Yeah, I appreciated that. Javier knew he didn't win that fight. He felt how many of his punches missed the mark and how many of Franco's punches caught him. A draw was a just outcome.

I see you have a picture of Jose Fernandez I know this is off topic but here a interesting article about him:

Thanks for the link, bro. I've been watching Jose since he started this season. I was watching him pitch tonight before the Franco fight. (Nice evening of Cuban sports! lol) He punched-out 14 in eight innings, while giving up zero runs against Cleveland. The kid is special. The last couple of games, his stuff has been absolutely nasty! Too bad he's stuck with the Marlins. I'd love to have him in NY!

Fortuna has talent and athletic ability, but his fundamentals aren't so great and he needs use his BRAIN as well as instincts.

He gets beat by Mares, Donaire, Rigo, Garcia.. but if he fights Gamboa it could be an awkward fight if his power hurts Gamboa, but Gamboa can outbox him fairly easy.

Lol, yeah you could tell who Teddy wanted to win. The other commentator (his name is at the tip of my tongue) was pretty upset the fans on Facebook had Franco winning by a landslide after the 4th round.

The kid (20 year old) is a gem!! No one barely mentions that he made the all star game as a rookie and pitched a 1-2-3 inning!!! What a talent

lol What can I say? I'm a Yankee fan! I salivate at the thought of this kid Fernandez getting the kind of run support and media coverage the Yankees would bring. Jose's a star in the making. The Marlins obviously know it. They just haven't got what I takes to help this boy win as many games as he should. He ought to have at least ten wins so far this season.

Yeah, with two strikeouts. I was watching...and loving it.

Joe Tessitore. Joe basically follows Teddy's lead. I was loving how the fans were diametrically opposed to Teddy's view of the fight. Mind you, these are presumably the same uneducated fans that understand nothing but blind aggression. Tonight they made Teddy look like he didn't know what the fuck he was talking about.
