I thought Fortuna won. He needs to learn how to sit back and counter punch a bit. He thinks about his offense so much that he doesn't think how he can turn his defense into offense and make the fight easier for himself. A trip to the mayweather gym or a call out to James Toney would go a long way for him.

It's the Cuban pedigree!! Everyone thought Fortuna was gonna destroy Franco but franco has great schooling and even tough he's not in the elite class of cuban fighters it just shows how good our amateur system is!!

First I would like to say ESPN's commentary was very bias in favor of Javier. Even Teddy himself gave Javier around (3rd I believe) for landing an illegal blow. And they wouldn't call any of Franco's punches at all.

Second from what I saw (My DVR stopped recording after the 9th) Franco was standing to fight more aggresive and Javier was standing to tire from all that useless jumping around the ring. It must bepretty humbling to know that you really aren't the hard of a puncher when you can't even hurt a 9 month laid off, physically smaller fighter.

Last, if Franco was equal in size to Javier it would have been a short night, Javier was tired and starting to get startled by shots in the inside. If only Franco hit harde,r I believe he would have gotten the knockout or atleast a knockdown.

All in All I had it 5 to 4 in favor of Franco, but didn't the seet he last round so my score card could be a draw depending on how the final round went.

Just for the record I blame both men for the bad looking fight.

Franco is a solid fighter. Nothing great, but crafty. Guys like that are tough to beat. I've been saying all week that this wasn't going to be easy for Fortuna and that Luis might just pull it off. Javier dodged a bullet.

Don't forget Fortuna is regarded has the next best thing in the division and Franco neutralized Him pretty well!! I still like fortuna as a fighter I just think he needs a little more experience and needs to better his craft!

Well said . Teddy was bias tonight , they like fortuna cause he's a high action guy . A draw was the best outcome. No one deserved the win

You can't teach talent. Fortuna has it. He's young and can be molded. But he needs to forget about fighting guys like Gamboa for a while. Javier has some work to do.

Usually Teddy is fair with his commentary but I felt tonight he was very biased and way off on the decision!
