Mayweather or Trout - Who did better against Cotto?

Who do you think did better against Miguel Cotto, was it Floyd Mayweather or Austin Trout? Which performance was more impressive and decisive?

Floyd, but not by that much either.

I think Floyd beat Cotto with a 116-112 score perhaps, while Trout IMO was a closer fight, especially a lot closer than the official scores showed (Maybe 115-113, nothing close to 119-109)

I don't see what the problem is here, sounds like a very logical answer, and I agree with it. Cotto vs Trout could have very well been a draw, but I confess I'm a little biased so 115-113 sounds about right.

He's right about the official scorecards too. Mayweather vs Cotto scores I felt were a little unfair, but the Cotto vs Trout scores were just abysmal.

From what I recall I thought Trout really out boxed Cotto and never seemed in trouble throughout the fight. Mayweather was never in trouble but he was up against the ropes more fighting more of Cottos fight as far as I recall. I just think with Trouts size he was able to keep Cotto outside more

Both beat him by a wide margin.

I thought Trout did quite a bit better.

I thought it was about the same as far as rounds won. The difference is Mayweather was expected to win big and make it look easier than it was. Trout/Cotto was expected to be a closer fight but it really wasn't. In short, Floyd fell short of expectations. Trout exceeded them.

Good point. I just watched the Floyd/Cotto fight yesterday and Cotto gave Floyd a hell of a fight. The thing with the Trout fight is the fact that he had a considerable height and reach advantage. But Floyd landed more clean shots so I lean towards Floyd.
