    46-0. Undefeated and Undisputed.
LOL at the revisionists, Calzaghe was NEVER undisputed nor capable of being undisputed. He only EVER proved himself capable of defending the worthless WBO title. Whether he could defend a major title as does Carl Froch is unknown.

46 attempts to find decent prime opponents. Almost 46 fails.

The IBF stripped Joe before he fought Kessler.

DreamFighter thinks that Calzaghe ducked his no name IBF mandatory

I enjoyed the Jeff Lacy fight tremendously. Lacy popped a TON of **** before the fight and Calzaghe beat the livin **** out of him.

Yes, i love it for that same reason,,

i remember watching showtime, and lacy would stop some guy and then look at the camera and say "I WANT YOU JOE, I WANT YOU"

then he got joe, and took the worse beating of the last 10 years....

lol... me and my cousin still talk about that,,, I WANT YOU JOE

The Kessler fight. Firstly because it was a good technical but intense fight. Secondly because he fought a guy in his absolute prime who was the only other fighter in the division that could claim to be the best after Calzaghe had shown Lacy's inadequacies. Thirdly because it showed why Calzaghe was so good: he could adapt during the fight. Fourthly because it gives a clue to who was better between Calzaghe and Froch, Froch lost to Kessler and narrowly beat perhaps a slightly past prime Kessler whereas Calzaghe clearly beat an absolutely certainly prime Kessler. There are of course other reasons why Calzaghe was clearly better than Froch.

Also to those who question his resume, the great importance of resume in regards to the abilities of a fighter is in gauging just how good he is. It was obvious that even though his resume was not absolutely stellar he comfortably beat most and looked highly impressive in doing so. It seems that when someone wants to criticize a fighter that they don't like they question their resume but when they have a fighter they like they don't think that matters so much, they emphasize how good they look instead.

Lastly the Eubank win should not be discounted, Eubank was far from finished and it is an important gauge linking his generation to the previous generation that had greater competition.

Great post, but their are many Calzaghe haters here who will never agree with you. I think the Kessler fight as well, it had a little bit of everything, and once Calzaghe adjusted, he had an answer for everything Kessler did. Eubank win highly underrated, look at the damn fight, he still had lots in the tank! He may have been over the hill but not shot or weight drained like some would suggest. The Bika win is also underrated, considering his performances since.

It was the Kessler fight. Both BHop and RJJ way past prime when they fought Calzaghe
