The weight loss at his age. He should've stayed at heavy, got knocked out by Lennox even though I thought that he could outbox Lennox by hittting and running and retired.

Everyone was shocked when Tarver stopped him but because of the yoyo-ing up and down in weight it was understandable.

To me the Glen Johnson KO was equally as shocking. That's when you knew that he wasn't ever going to be Superman again.

Exactly. It was the "confirmation of the end"!

If he went up and down in weight when he was younger, that's one thing, but at age 35, that is another. Tarver exposed Jones for not using his jab. You can only move around for so long before you get tagged without using a jab.

Imho, Jones was just caught in a division where he was naturally too small for those guys once he settled. He got by those big lhw's by using his speed, reflexes and superior skills. Once his conditioning was gone, his confidence slipped, and he was done.

The Johnson fight showed that Roy would never reach peek condition again against any skilled, aggressive fighter.

Glen Johnsons didn't shock me nearly as much. After the first two Tarver fights, we really didn't need to see more.

We may see the same thing with Pac-Rios.

i cannot understand why roy did this to himself losing 25 pounds of pure muscle killed his body, the people in his camp that let him need shooting. Roy should have gone to cruiserweight got a title unified the belts then called it a day
