This is true and sometimes ignored. To answer the question it's Tarver by a mile.

By starve himself, do you mean cycle off steroids?

I see a healthy dose of Tarver haters and Jones apologists in this thread. Roy got knocked out because Tarver cracked his chin. Same shot Del Valle landed years earlier except a lot harder. Jones looked great in the first 1.5 rounds and nobody will admit that.

The Tarver fight was definitely more eventful. It was the talk in boxing for quite awhile. You couldn't help but be impressed by how Tarver talked smack all the way up to just mere minutes before the KO. However, for me the most impressive was the Glen Johnson KO. Roy got out worked and out muscled by Johnson but he fought hard all the way up to the KO. He was faded by then but I wouldn't say he was shot. I actually didn't think he would get up. It was just as shocking to me as the Tarver KO. Also, let's not forget, Johnson defeated Tarver shortly after that fight and lost a close decision later on. Everyone else fought the shell of who Jones Jr was.

Some people did vote for him.

Some people also use that win to support the idea that Calzaghe is the best fighter of the last 20 years. So it must have been a very impressive victory in their eyes.

                  johnson destroyed roy jones

tarver lost to a weight drained roy jones and landed a lucky punch(as he was off balance and falling in) on a still iffy roy who misjudged where his guard was

jones after the tarver ko came still hungry and looking to win, johnson beat the sht outta him, third tarver fight roy was soulless

No, Jones didn't look great for 1.5 rounds.

There are no lucky punches in boxing.
Roy Jones was washed up when he fought Glen Johnson. He didn't even fight back.
