I'm just speculating but Thurman is the interim champ and Broner's mandatory. That fight has 0 chance at happening at this point. So what does he do with Thurman? Let him hold on to his interim title for 5 years and fight on undercards?

Floyd's welterweight titles are on lock for 2 more years, the WBO title will stay with Top Rank and Khan/Alexander will fight Floyd.

What about Broner/Maidana with Thurman/JSK on the undercard. With winners facing each other in the next fight. I think that is very possible considering the landscape of the division atm. It can be done for October, or even November.

Maidana did duck Thurman, claimed he had a back injury or something along those lines. I doubt he was scared though, probably wanted more money for the risk or thought he had a shot at a bigger name. Just proves that every fighter picks and chooses at some time during their career.

I thought it was Thurman who was the mando for the WBA title. Sounds to me like Broner will either vacate and thurman will be promoted to full WBA or he will hold on to the title and the WBA wont force him to fight Thurman and he will face Marcos
