I would pick Mayweather to beat Pacquiao at whatever stage they decide to fight. Pacquiao will always have a punchers chance, but that's about it. The reason the fight didnt' take place was about PED's, pride, money, and competing promotional companies. Everyone involved had something to do with the fight not happening. I think Mayweather and especially Sr was legitimately concerned possible PED use. Manny refused to test because of pride. We know even if he was on PED there's is enough time/masking agents and other means to pass a test. Him and handlers didn't want to succumb to Mayweather's demand. When that wasn't enough to stall the fight, money became an issue. I don't think any of the fans cared who would get the majority of the purse but again pride kicked in. Finally, Arum, De la Hoya, Mayweather, HBO, and SHO won't do business with each other any time soon. If talk should heat up again for these two to fight, something else will come up for them not to do it.

The things you call roadblocks are not roadblocks for any other fighter. Manny asked rios for OSDT, was that a roadblock? NO, because rios said sure. WHen Manny wont give a fair money offer you blame the other guys for refusing. yet when floyd does it to manny you blame floyd. when TR makes guy sign to TR to fight manny you don't complain. When floyd suggests same you whine.

STop with the double standards for manny.
Manny still fought Marquez without the testing. Floyd didn't fight Manny! Now Manny has agreed to fight Rios so it was NOT a roadblock that stopped the fight from occurring (was not the intention). For Floyd it was one because Floyd never wanted and never did fight Manny!

Manny requested Rios to take the test but he isn't screaming out that Rios will be cheating like Floyd and his team did. He just requested it in case Memo does give him drugs. Even then, it was all low key and it wasn't even stated like I just did. See the difference?

Still, you keep on forgetting that Manny was willing to take "extra tests" from DAY 1. They just couldn't get down to the same cutoff date.

Roadblocks: When Floyd put the "testing" roadblock I questioned it but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and hoped that Manny would agree at one point because all I cared about was to see the fight. Manny came thru and agreed.

..... BUT after the testing roadblock Floyd:
      - went on his long vacations,
      - didn't negotiate fights with Manny but took on other opponents,
      - "Manny you are next .... I never said Manny is next"
      - his "I want ALL PPV money"
      - and now "Manny must join Mayweather promotions to get a fight with me"

Sorry, but I'm not gullible like you when it comes to Floyd. The proof is there that would make even the loyalist Floyd fan say, "I surrender. Floyd didn't want to fight Manny"

Whether you think he was on PEDs or whether you think he was offended by the accusation or whether you think Arum was puppeteering Manny (all 3 possible reasons for initially refusing the tests - to which he eventually agreed BTW), there is no evidence whatsoever to indicate Pacquiao was scared to share a ring with Mayweather.

Floyd on the other hand is a self admitted, "Rich coward."
I think you & damn near everybody else that brings up the "rich coward" quote miss what Floyd was really saying...to me it was more of a damned if I do, damned if I don't no matter who I fight situation so why not max out the business part.

If you think about it...when was the last time Floyd fought a TR fighter? & when was the last time "fans" didn't change their tune AFTER a Floyd fight (discrediting the opp)?

All the experts favoured Floyd until they realized how scared he was. How can you favour a man that's so paranoid about taking up the challenge?

If no one is pocking Pac to win then why are so many calling for fight? Its done and been done. Id Floyd fights him now then yeah itll be big but as usual hell get no credit.

All that needed to be said was said in the 1st negotiations when fight shouls have happened. Team Pac said NO

JMM is the b side as is Rios. Of course they agreed to fight-they did it for the money. WHen manny is the bside he needs to agree to fight-same as them and same as floyd did when he was the bside with ODH.

Wow now because manny asked nicely its ok? GTFO! Manny asked, RIos said yes. No cutoff negotiating or any BS. If he didn't agree to a cutoff he didn't agree to testing. STop trying to pretend otherwise. Its manny's decision to make because he is the bside. If he doesn't make it its his fault.

All your other stuff is just your attempt to deflect the obvious. JMM, Rios, floyd, canelo and every other b side have a choice. accept the offer and fight or don't. If they don't its on them and no one else. Manny is no different when he is the b side.

Of course he said sure, he's not going to turn down a Pacquaio fight even if they wanted him to suck Manny off!

Both Pacquaio and Mayweather were making huge money without fighting each other so Pacquaio didn't really need to bend to Floyd's demands and Floyd didn't need to force the Pacquaio fight to happen. It's pretty obvious they were both happy milking the fans with watered down fights.

Floyd hasn't fought a guy coming of a loss in 9 (almost 10) years. Pacquiao has fought 3 guys coming off losses in the last 3 years. Of Pacquiao's last eighteen opponents (not a typo) the one on the longest winning streak was David effin Diaz, with five wins in a row. Floyd fights winners, Pac fights losers. Now Manny is fighting another loser (which is ok since he is a 2/3 fight loser himself) in China while Floyd is fighting an undefeated twenty-something middleweight who is coming off the biggest win of his career. Pac's handlers have turned him into a joke the last few years.
