Manny's straight left is as fast and can be as sneaky as some of the best jabs out there, but packs way more power. Fighters that have given Floyd the most problem were Castillo, Mosley, Judah, and Cotto... Only Cotto is a good jabber out of that bunch

Ortiz = Pacquiao??? Ortiz has no defense at all and lacks the balls to exchange when getting hit. Manny may not be a defensive wiz, but he at least has the aforementioned fleet feet, and the reflexes of a supreme athlete. And the hand speed and throws from good angles to counter that kind of combination attack (The knockdown in Marquez II)... Floyd wouldn't use that kind of combination attack against Manny, that would be suicide...

This is a moot point based simply on the fact Floyd has never fought anyone remotely as talented as Pacquiao, so there's no way of knowing whether its true or not. From what I've seen, Floyd vs Pac in a brawl would be a nightmare for Floyd. And even if he could do it successfully, what are you basing it off, where's the proof? When's the last time he got the better of an exchange? Let alone against a guy with Manny's supreme offense? He's simply not going to try and counter Pac in exchanges as Marquez did, that would be ******, and he's not that ******.

Floyd doesn't use lateral movement anymore, he goes straight back when defending... And I don't see him flat out running like Mosley did, which is really the only true way to make him look weak as an aggressor
    Good post.

I think Manny wins 1-2 out of 10 times, but Mayweather should be the favorite.

        • I appreciate Mayweather as a boxing fan, but fair criticisms towards him on the Pacquiao fight tell me he didn't want the fight.

I don't think Mayweather could have held off on Pacquiao when he was looking like a machine.

Mayweather isn't unbeatable. He is great, though. And when you're on top for that long, this era has proved you can do it with careful matchmaking.

I'm not even a huge Mayweather fan but y'all are out of line. Floyd wouldn't lose more than 4 rounds to even the best version of manny.
Didn't see the Morales fight but he outlanded Marquez and knocked his ass down like 5 times or something during their 4 fights. He couldn't knock him down in 36 rounds and was desperate to win as Pac is his only claim to fame so he hired the convicted steroids dealer to get the job done.

What about the fair criticism towards Pacquiao? You ignored that part, huh?

                    The latter might actually happen.
