your point was canelo was ok with the weight. so was dawson. so simply being ok with the weight doesn't mean it doesn't affect you. i already explained how canelo is already drained at 153 or 154. you don't have to believe me but just look at the way he fights trying to conserve energy.

The teams staying the same? What about the nutritionist that was going to solve all of Canelo's stamina issues

I think Alvarez trainer is thanking him for not firing him and looking for a better trainer. But I think after the fight, changes will be made in the trainers department.

its impossible to solve his stamina issues with just nutrition. it's the weight and his body composition. he has far too much muscle, and the more muscle he burns to make weight the weaker he will be. the fight was lost the second he signed for 152.

This is how you know people in Canelo's camp are trying to convince themselves that he can beat Floyd.

On one hand, Reynoso is implying that Canelo's current camp is just like all the others. On the other hand, we've heard that Canelo is on a new diet (no more pre-fight hamburgers), has a professional nutritionist for the first time, is using one of Floyd's former sparring partners and will have De La Hoya teaching him the Mayweather Code.

Unfortunately for Canelo, when he walks into the ring on September 14, he can't bring his trainer, nutritionist, sparring partners and Oscar with him.

You'd think more people would recognize and accept this. Canelo, with his stocky frame, simply doesn't have a build that will allow him to achieve the type of conditioning guys like Floyd have.

With a greater focus on cardio, he can certainly improve, but he will never be a superbly conditioned athlete and unless he moves up a weight class or two, he's really limited in how much he can improve. As such, it's questionable as to whether all the focus that he's reportedly placing on "fixing" this problem is going to be a good investment.

I think one of the most dangerous things for Canelo going into this fight is the fact that he and his camp have latched on to the conditioning issue. This could introduce an insidious level of doubt that hurts Canelo on September 14. Fighting Floyd requires an insane amount of physical and mental stamina. If Canelo is thinking about gassing, it could easily become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
