People here see one of Canelo's fights and is as if he's always had stamina issues. Look at the Rhodes fight and tell me how Canelo didn't have stamina, Rhodes used to fight at middleweight and he's a strong fighter. How about the Mosley fight where Canelo tore Mosley up and gave him the worst beatdown ina 12 round fight. I think you're making too many conclusions based on one fight and before the Trout fight many people thought that Cloud might even stop him, that's how high folks were on Trout and now that Canelo beat him, Trout is nothing special?
My conclusions are not based on the Trout fight alone. I believe I've watched every Canelo fight in the past ~2 years and there are visible signs of conditioning issues in just about every single one of them, including the Mosley fight. Note, of course, that plenty of fighters manage to grind it out and win 12 round fights even when fatigued. You don't always get knocked out just because you don't have the energy to sustain a high work rate or put your opponent away.

Obviously, you're free to disagree about Canelo's conditioning, but if conditioning truly isn't an issue for Canelo, it begs the question: why do so many people believe it's a problem, and why has his camp made repeated references to it? Fighters who don't have stamina problems usually don't have a reputation and they usually don't treat it like it is an issue.

What does that mean though?? He still trained to the limit and happened to be a lb shy. That's not the same as not being able to weight more than 152, period. Heroic try though.

BTW, Canelo does not have a boxer's body. He's too thick. His dimensions invite fatigue.

          Sept 15th:

Canelo won: Catchweight not a problem
          Canelo lost: Cathweight drained him.

Just because you make weight doesn't mean you did it the right way. Against Trout, it was 153.5 then he ballooned to about 172. During the fight everyone saw that Canelo was fatigued and gassed with a low work rate. Perhaps you missed all that but that is a fact!

A few years ago he tried to make a CW and struggled to barely make 152 (he missed the CW). Now that he has filled in more, it's even harder to do. Canelo's camp says they will be able to do it "healthy" but history has shown us otherwise. We will see in September which Canelo shows up.

Canelo's mistake is taking this fight a bit too early .... Canelo should have first fixed his issues and gained some valuable experience against good quality fighters. His other mistake may be accepting the 152 CW.
