Edison Reynoso, trainer and manager of Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs), says his boxer has avoided making the same mistakes as Miguel Cotto and Oscar De La Hoya, who both had new trainers when they entered the ring against Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs). De La Hoya was trained by Mayweather's father and switched over to Freddie Roach before meeting Floyd Jr. Cotto was only in his second fight with Cuban coach Pedro Diaz when he faced Mayweather. Canelo has worked with the same team for his entire career and Reynoso says there are no plans to make any changes to the team.
