Berto deserves respect.

Plenty of other fighters would have quit after having their shoulder fuck up, the guy was just asking to keep fighting.

Berto gets a lot of hate and it's strange since he's been in some amazing fights.

Andre Berto doesn't deserve anything. He should be banned from boxing period. He's a CHEATER and has no respect for the sport of boxing.

The judges have the benefit of being able to look directly into a fighters eyes when they get up. Those eyes tell a real story of what type of condition a fighter is in. Sometimes a count is not necessary. They have to call it a night for the fighter to prevent the fighter from getting seriously hurt, especially after a long grueling fight. That is where fighters can and have got seriously hurt or killed. Exhausted, Dehydrated and taking a beating.

Why do fighter like to get up so fast? The only fighter who in recent history use his brains and stay down to collect himself before getting up was Timothy Bradley when he fought Holt, and I don't mean getting up at 9 in a foreign country when you don't even look hurt.

When you're in the 12th round in a fight where you've been taking lot's of punishment and you're exhausted both mentally and physically it's not easy to make smart moves and instead you go by instincts.

I agree with Berto. He was hurt but he was on his feet. Berto was no worse than Tim Bradley was when Ruslan had him out on his feet.

I am not a Berto fan but as a former champ he deserved to go out on his own terms.

I personally would like to see a rematch. I think had he not hurt his right shoulder in the 4th that he would have KO'd JSK.

Yea you're right, might have been a different outcome if Berto wasn't a one armed fighter from the 4th on.

Soto-Karass came out that round reinvigorated, so Berto should be thankful that the ref waved it off.

not sure if I watched the same fight as others, but berto got beat the **** up round after round. He deserved an L and got 1.

No way Berto was gonna survive that after the knockdown anyway. He was done. I think the ref was considering all the punishment he had taken throughout the fight as well as the fact that he was on wobbly legs.
