I do not know who is dumb enough to keep putting up a lot of money to push berto. here is a guy caught on PEDs and comes in looking even more juiced up then when he got caught. I bet his shoulder injury comes from the use of PEDs you see all these injuries like that to baseball and football players

Berto, good or bad, has a name. That's hard to establish. That's why he'll probably get one more shot on tv.

Unless Berto scored a knockdown of his own he would have lost by majority decision. Don't know where people are getting this ''He would have been robbed'' thing from.

Berto tried to get up way too quick. He should've stood down until the ref got to 7 or 8, then maybe he would've been a bit more stable. He got up and looked like a baby deer just being born.

There needs to be investigations on these refs not giving 8 counts. I believe Manny was robbed from an 8 count as well

woulda liked the last rd to go on so Berto could be punished more

Berto went out on his shield, and I see no reason to call him a bum. And it makes no sense to say he would have won if the ref didn't stop it. It was a draw going into the 12 on the cards. Someone here think Berto- after getting knocked down- was going to get the 12th on the judges card? Come on now.

As to "premature stoppage", it's Berto's fault for getting up too soon. If you do the chicken dance, the ref is going to stop it. Ask Zab.

Anyway, it's better for Berto that it was stopped. Since nothing good was going to happen from that point for him.

Well said. Most of the people commenting here fail to realize that Berto was a one handed fighter for most of the fight. He couldn't use his right arm. You could clearly see that he had an injury. How many fighters in his position would have just quit? I just knew he was going to quit but to my surprise he kept fighting and he did a good job with only one hand!

Whether you like Berto or not, you have to respect his heart and determination. He was in the worst position a fighter could be in but he digged down deep and made it a fight and even managed to hurt Soto, dropping him with a great left hook to the body.

Sorry but berto is no good anymore some chemical imbalance in berto. personally i like him but 1 punch and his out ??????? no balance at all. good lack berto and retired.
