Berto fought thru the injury as by # 8 he was throwing the right consistently but ,IMO, ref Schorle mad a good stop as Berto was hurt, stiff-legged and unsure of himself & had taken 2 much punishment...the ref saw his eyes, us on tv didn't...

Plenty of other fighters would have quit after having their shoulder fuck up, the guy was just asking to keep fighting.

Berto gets a lot of hate and it's strange since he's been in some amazing fights.
I was thinking the same until I saw the scorecards. Then I remembered why I don't feel bad for him and never will, and why I will always take shots at Andre Berto. He has been given undeserved paydays and support his entire career.

There is no better example of an overpaid hypejob than Andre Berto.

Because their brains are scrambled and they don't have any common sense at the moment.

In the evening’s main event, Sinaloa's Jesus Soto Karass scored a mild upset with a 12th round TKO victory over former welterweight titlist Andre Berto.

It was another disappointing defeat for Berto, who is just 1-3 in his last four fights, dating back to his high-pitched brawl with Victor Ortiz in April of 2011.

Berto appeared to injure his right shoulder around the fourth round, yet he fought on valiantly as the action wore on, electing to utilize his left hand as best he could.

And despite scoring a knockdown in the eleventh round with a left to Karass’ body, Berto himself was floored with a counter left in the final round, as referee Jon Schorle chose to call a halt to the action as Andre rose on shaky legs.

Speaking with Showtime’s Jim Grey after his loss, Berto confirmed his injury.

“I think I tore out a socket early, like the fourth round,” Berto claimed. “My right shoulder; that’s why I kept using my left. I couldn’t really use it. But, like I said, I’m a warrior at the end of the day. No matter what happens.”

Yep, an 8 count would have given him the victory. I guess GBP forgot the ref.

I don't understand what harm it would've done to give a standing guy the 8. He probably wouldn't have been ready but why does the referee need to preempt it?

Ref should have given him the 8 so we could see Berto crawling all over the ring then get his hands raised.

if it was an ABC (unified) bout than there would be no standing 8 counts as dictated in the rules. Who was the governing body? ............. Rockin'
