Chaves was better than I expected, it turns out he was to some extent fighting to his opponents level a bit in his previous fights against sub standard opposition. However he is nothing special and neither is Thurman. Thurman is definitely in the mix and may well become an alphabet champ but he stills seems a bit lacking to really be at the very highest level. Some quality body shots though.

BRIAN CASTAÑO will be the next big thing out of argentina...the kids ****in GOOD.
The likes of Marquez, Brook, Bradley, Alexander, Broner, Malignaggi and even Maidana would struggle against Chaves.
Thurman is legit.

I don't care about all that other stuff you posted about corners and soccer players. I watch a lot of boxing and I know what I saw.
A big guy like Chaves with power and a strong chin would trouble a division filled with blown up 140lbers. It just so happened that last night he met another big guy with power and a strong chin who moved better than he did.
Chaves's team should've taken the Malignaggi fight when it was on the table instead of holding out for more money and he would be world champion now (and unlike Broner he would have stopped Paulie as would Thurman imo).Last edited by Weebler I; 07-28-2013, 02:29 PM.
