BRIAN CASTAŅO will be the next big thing out of argentina...the kids ****in GOOD.
You guys keep talking about that Weiss fight as if you had discovered the origin of universe. Chaves had not trained for that fight and that is all the mystery about it.

It was a too early kill or die test for Chaves. He should have fought Malignaggi instead. It seems (something I didn't know and learnt just now from the Argentinian press) that Chaves team dismissed the Malignaggi fight because they didn't like the purse. Another gross mistake.
Yes. At a certain moment, Chavez used his jab and had Thurman with no answer to that... For an unknown reason Chavez forgot about the jab, and so did his corner...

After coming away impressed by Thurman against Zaveck and Chaves, I can definitely say that I'm a fan. I love how fearless the guy is, and even though he's looking for the KO from the first bell, he shows good patience and an ability to adjust. I think his stamina is underrated too. This guy could be a problem in the division.

That was no walk in the park for Keith. He showed different dimensions and a good chin. Kept his power all the way to the end. Thurman is for real

Thurman said if he don't knock the guy out by 2nd round the fans could get their money back. it was a setup fight to showcase Thurman and he was beat up with a broken nose by a club fighter with no good training or corner that was supposed to lose. if you look at the body punch in a million years he could never land that punch the way they both fell into it making the punch very hard. with better training and good corner the club fighter beats him

That Power to go with his Boxing Skills and good Chin and size at Welterweight...Thurman is dangerous but he will be avoided, stop searching and trying to just point out his Flaws, Thurman showed he can make adjustments as well and he can be multidimensional

Might be forced to move up to 154 though. Still would love to see him against Soto Karass and put Omar Figuroa vs John Molina on that same card!

Chaves is anything but a club fighter. He is less experienced than Thurman and that's all. He even has a pre-boxing sports career. He is a former soccer player in a top team and soccer is an ultra-professional sport in Argentina.
