Soto Karass was a big fight opportunity?Gurerrero was a big fight opportunity?Soto Karass and Guerrero were nobodies. And what fans keep talking Berto up?Most of the comments i see of Berto is that he`s overated, overhyped this that and the other. But Maidana whose not all that gets felatio`d.Berto gets opportunities cause he has the right connections;anybody in his place would get the same opportunities.Soto karas got many opportunities also but he lost in most of those opportunities.Had he won in all those opportunities he would be fighting a big name by now.LMAO, that and the fact that he keeps getting big fight opportunities when he hasn't done shit to deserve them. Fans keep talking him up and he keeps dropping the ball, hopefully this is the last time he gets a freebie. Soto-Karass had to grind to get the opportunity and I'm happy for him. As for Berto, he can get his top-heavy ass to the back of the line.Comment

To be honest, Berto's chin has always been funny.
He got dropped by severely by Cosme Rivera; hurt by soft hitting Collazo; dropped several times by ortiz/guerrero, etc.
And now Soto... He's just had a weird chin.
I do remember at one point when he could actually stick and move. But at some point he just got so caught up in going toe to toe. Maybe it was because people called him boring
For some reason he thinks he's a tank and he tries to fight like Foreman, but as I tell people all the time. You have weight room strong and you have fight strong.
Pac 08/09, as small as he was was fight strong. I get lauged at, but I considered Pac a strong WW.
Berto, with all the muscle was the perfect example of weight room strong. Kinda similar to shane mosleyComment

absolutely.
I hope people don't get too excited about Soto. I knew he would stop berto due to his height/style.
The only other type of WW's Soto has a chance against is maybe someone like Zab Judah if he decides to move up. Those type of opponentsComment

I think so man. It's that "style" of opponent that's all bad for Thurman.
Guys that can take his punch and give it back just as good. Thurman showed an ability to box tonight, but against guys that cut the ring off, I don't see it being effective.Comment

Yup.. like I posted the other day Berto was a great prospect but he's never had a great chin and after the age of about 24-25 Berto's reflexes, stamina and ability to absorb a quality punch decreased dramatically. Everyone has there own prime age for some it's 23-25 (Berto's, Khan's of the world) for most others it's usually age 27-31 and occasionally you have exceptions like Mayweather and Hopkins..but Berto's prime days imo have been long gone. He's been in a ton of wars over the years people forget that and it's taken its toll..He should retire now before he ends of punch drunk or ends up with some type of debilitating disease It should be a easy decision for him to make also because all the big networks will be very reluctant to have him back on atp for good reason..Last edited by Realizniguhnit; 07-27-2013, 11:50 PM.Comment
