As much as I like Vitali and think he'd stack up well against any heavyweight of any era, I just don't see ATG with that resume.

Oh my friend it's not a race thing, I have always felt that its overrated. I think that whole era is overrated. I'm not trying to discredit either. Because I only give credit where credit is due. I coincidentally think bruno's power is overrated to a certain degree. And btw foreman> shavers

I dont see why not. If those fighters were around in the early 1900's they would all be considered HOF's. Jack Johnson built his career and legacy on worse fighters.

The first part is an aaumption. The second part simply isn't true. Johnson beat many ranked fighters of the era who went on to beat other ranked fighters that were many times forced to fight each other many times over. That's a big difference from Vits comp who haven't fought many of their top contemporaries. The era Johnson fought in and the duress he was under from the white establishment also plays a part in his greatness. Now if we were to get into his championship reign I'd call it overrated just as I do Dempsey's. But his resume is solid.

15 votes saying Vits resume is ATG worthy and not a single one explaining why. I expected more from those voters, but it's become clear he's no ATG. Better luck next time fella's....but I wouldn't bank on it!

Wlad's isn't any better. I don't understand why people would pretend Wlad's is that much better then his brother. Atleast Vital went toe to toe war with an ATG in Lewis. Is this because Wlad beat Haye who really hasn't done anything at Heavyweight either besides cry about a broken toe?

Vital is more exciting so I lean towards him. I don't see that big of a difference between him and Wlad's resumes to be honest.

Wlad has beaten the better fighters and been considered "the man" for far longer than Vits has.
