if you started a is andre berto an atg thread you would get around 25 percent of the people saying yes. people just like trolling. when asked why they would probably say something like berto and mayweather dominated the welterweight division! just like the klitschkos dominated heavyweight!

I will leave it up to some of the more extreme, white nationalist types to state their case. I'm more of a Wlad defender who is clearly better, resume and skill wise now that he is a finished product.

But in either case, first one would have to define ATG. And how far does ATG stretch to? 1 to 10? 1 to 20? Anything from 1 to 50?

Because I'm sure I can dig up more than a couple names known to be in the upper Top 25 to 50 bracket, that AREN'T better than Vitali, resume wise or talent/skill wise. Which would technically make Vitali an ATG.

Honestly, these bozo's are pathetic. People call me a hater, troll, whatever, but I can consistently back up what Im talking about. Doesn't always mean Im right or that everyone should agree with me, but I am able to back up my opinions and tell you WHY I have come to these conclusions. NONE of these jokers are able to form a valid reason with substance behind as to why they think what they do. Its hilarious!!

There isn't a set number range. Welterweight and Middleweight both have 20+ legit ATGs in them. Flyweight has fewer than 10. it just depends on how deep the weightclass is historically.

I think 20 should be the limit. Historically the top 10 are the elite. I think doubling that for history is fair. This is how the IBRO does it and than there is a list in no order of those "just missing the cut". I think Vits is one of those who just misses the cut. His resume sucks, but even so his dominance for such a long period is impressive. He's a tough guy, no one disputes this, but there is no justification for ranking him above guys who beat more accomplished fighters....especially when era's were deeper and with far less titles to cherry pick contenders from.

Nowt wrong with this thread. Vitali was a good fighter once upon a time, and one that got an awful lot of mileage from a valiant losing effort a decade ago. He was always the lesser of the two brothers, and Wlad will rightfully be regarded as the greater of the two when both are retired.

Im a brit and I put the Shavers thing up there.

Funny how history can take away crédit from a fighter. Earnie Shavers is easily one of the hardest punchers of all times.

Vit's resume is not as good as wlad's, but vitali never been ko'd like wlad was.... they are not in the same class as holy, tyson, lewis, bowe, frazier, ali, holmes. foreman, but better than moorer, golata, ruiz, byrd, morrison, mercer, chuvalo, cooney, norton....
