Well, you usually win by hitting the other guy more than he hits you. Not always, but most the time.

In fact, this is the reality of almost every boxing match, both fighters get hit.
you have a picture of hatton who's career was brought to an early close due to that very same attitude.

He was also a damn good fighter. The "hit and don't get hit" runners lose to Mayweather and Pacquiao as well.

what are you talking about? You've obviously never fought. It's alot different to watch and contend in a fight from the inside of a ring than to just watch a fight outside of one. These men can tell you that they are going to drop a right hand on your chin, a simple feint (you bite) and then that right fist touches your chin like the guy was taking candy from a baby. Anybody can fight, but not just anybody can box........ Rockin'

What's the objective of sports? To win? Don't fool yourself my friends! Sports is entertainment. If you as a fan ejaculates when your homie wins, good for you.

and coulda easily boxed much longer, he was always in great shape. he retired at an early enough age for a high level fighter
i never said he had a short career but it did end earlier than it would have otherwise needed to

Mayweather and Pacquiao don't go out of their way to get hit and ooh guess waht, they're on top still despite being way older than Hatton when he HAD to give it up

Godam this is a dumb thread. . .

The objective is to win ? Seeing as Floyd (and I am assuming this is who this is targeted at) has won all his fights with this whole sweet science "hit and not get hit" technique then ur argument is flawed

Ali may be GOAT but he's suffering for it now.
