Also, this whole "the jab is the key to beat Floyd" bit is ridiculous. The jab is the most basic punch in boxing, you are going to tell me that the secret to beating the most brilliant boxer on the planet is to just throw the very most basic punch at him? Get out of here.

Everyone keep saying Oscar was winning against Floyd because the jab. If people would watch the fight with their eyes and not their heart Oscar's jab did nothing and only landed on Floyd's arms. Yeah I'm a Mayweather fan and the only reason the judges had the fight even close because of the name attached to the fight. Floyd was winning easily and most of Oscar's shots hit gloves and air. But I'm just a fan so my analysis really don't matter but the score cards do. Once again the Dela Hoya jinx has reared its ugly head and in every

redundant listening to Oscar go on about how guys can beat Floyd
he had a good formula, but not the wherewithal to sustain it
Alvarez doesn't even have the style, let alone the stamina
Floyd wins this fight easily, Alvarez is fucked

I seriously hope Canelo stops taking advice and listening to Oscar. He lost clearly, abeit close but clearly lose 8 rounds to 4. The only fighter I see that has the right to give advice on how to beat Floyd is Castillo because he was the one that gave Floyd his toughest fight in his weight class. If you seriously think that Floyd is going to slug with a light heavyweight and give Canelo a chance to land, he will be missing all night long.

Floyd admitted to fighting the wrong fight against Cotto. He said it after the fight in the press conference that he could have moved and made it look easy but wanted to please the fans. He knows he does not belong above 147 but continues to do it anyway. This fight is even more of a risk because Canelo comes in heavier than Golovkin and Cotto at 173. He moves beautifully and hits Canelo with right hands all night. The key to this fight is Mayweather Sr devising the game plan where Roger would just focus on Floyd's offense. Floyd Sr will be the reason why he gets hit less and can fulfill the contract requirements.

Both De La Hoya and Cotto have better jabs than Canelo and they couldn't sustain that strategy. These are seasoned vets we're talking about, not a 23 year old who's taking a massive step up in competition.
Like the majority of Floyd's opponents, Canelo has a puncher's chance. That's it. That's not a knock on Floyd, it's just how good he is.

Cotto does not have a better jab than Canelo. I don't think people have been observing this guy well. He has a very good jab. Sharp and accurate. Only question is how often does he use it. He has the other punches as well so he likes to mix it up. Canelo is way underrated for his skills. Keep think this is easy. I hope Floyd is listening. He is probably going to be as overconfident as his fans. But he will train hard. he always does.
But he is flying into a heavy thunderstorm and I doubt he realizes how strong it will be. I know most of fans don't.

The truth is Canelo ain't De La Hoya dosen't have the boxing skill Oscar has that fight with Oscar and Floyd was a lot closer if you watch it again had oscar stuck to his game plan and fought his fight oscar wouldve won this is without a doubt goin to be an easy fight for mayweather to me Canelo looked kinda gassed in the later rounds against trout and he's too young and too inexperienced to be in there with mayweather cinnamon gonna be handed his first loss come September 14.
