Of course I'll stay up for Matthysse - Garcia, that goes without saying. And I will try to watch Canelo fight but, thanks to Floyd, I expect to fall a sleep around mid rounds anyway

      Why not beg the question:

      Why doesn't Mayweather face Klitschko?

      Is he ducking him?

C'mon now, Mayweather is a much smaller man than Golovkin, who's weighed as much as 170 pounds post weigh-in.

I want to see the best fight the best as much as anyone, but when there is a significant size difference, we learn nothing from it.

no, and he doesn't have to
Floyd maxes out at JMW, he can't go any higher
and at that, he chooses selectively in the division
he can't be required to fight a MW, it's not realistic

You're ******, Canelo weighed in at 172 pounds vs Trout, the max Gennady has ever weighed was 170 vs Macklin.

When will you learn that Canelo weighs equal to or MORE than Gennady on fight night, you god damn idiotic BAFOONS use your brain. If Gennady moved down to 154 he would not have extra muscle, he would be on exactly the same physical terms as Canelo.

Tell me, why do people think Canelo is a legit challenge in terms of size but Gennady isn't? It's clear as day Canelo is overhyped and lacks so many attributes that are needed to beat Mayweather, yet when we have an olympic silver medalist with the ability to box and the amatuer pedegree of 345 - 5, cuts off the ring better than anyone in boxing today and has enormour power he's suddenly TOO BIG?

If you accept Canelo, you got no reason not to accept Gennady if he moved to 154.

I agree, but doesn't make what I said any less right.

He's too old to be dropping to 154.

Exactly, good post. GGG vs Floyd at 154 makes perfect sense.

i don't think he avoided pacquaio because he was "scared."

those two made more money fighting other people. the prospect of them fighting is what made their fights so big in the last few years. that's what the casual fans cared about, and casuals drive ppv sales.

margarito is a bit different. that was straight up risk / reward. that was closer to a duck, but i still think mayweather would outpoint him easily.

golovkin is too big for floyd mayweather. they aren't even comparable in size. golovkin is a MW with punching power who spars with CW and LHW. floyd started his champoinship run at 130 lbs. golovkin was a MW in the amateurs 10 years ago.

More people know Floyd in Europe than they know GG here in America. Why would Floyd fight a guy who has isnt a draw who basically has nobody on his résumé who fights 2 divisions higher than him? GG has plenty of fights at mw.
