Its called the 10 count. Why would it be a 10 count if you're immediately waved off at 9?

He was not down by the 10. The moment the ref said 9, he got up, taking his knee off the canvas. At that moment he was not down, yet the ref waved it off. Making new rules like he needed to be "completely upright" and "ready to fight" are bull****

He was hurt pretty badly by that shot otherwise he wouldn't have stayed on his knee for that long. Technically he did start getting up at nine, but you're supposed to start getting up by 8 so that you're on your feet by 9. He was also bruised up and had a slightly busted nose after the fight. Chisora was just too good for him and caught him with a great shot. I would guess that if the fight had continued Scott may well have been stopped soon afterwards anyway.

Don't see how you blame the ref, don't even give him the chance to count you out.

Especially when your not seriously hurt, have taken a 5 second breather and see 2 huge hands in your face.
Where in the rules does it say you have to be fully upright? Thats bull****

He took all the time he was allowed, 10 seconds, but was only given 9!

Scott didn't complain in the post fight interview, he said Chisora won.

He waved before the count would have been 10. How can you wave the moment you say 9? He could have said 10 and waved at the same time but no he said 9 and waved. Jesus.....

I would've let him continue, ref should've too, but fighters are usually up on 8 (those that want to continue that is).

He waved it out at ten while Scott was standing up. So yeah, it's called the 10 count

He was given 10, the ref counted 9 and then the wave was 10. The rules are the fighter must be up and ready to fight before 10, Scott was still in the process of standing upright = not ready.
