I knew somebody would come and say some crap like this. Fact is, Scott was the favorite, unbeaten in 32 or whatever and had a very good amateur background. This guy wasn't a hype job. Chisora was just better and therefore you have to commend him his victory.

Scott is still a very good fighter.
What, you knew someone would tell the truth? The fact is Scott has had 37 fights and has never even beaten a top 10 fighter in the goofy alphabet rankings. He was also fighting 6 and 8 round fights as late as last summer. That was only four fights ago when he had well over 30 fights. He is also 33 years old and has not been an amateur for well over a decade and in my opinion they are not even the same sport.

Scott is also so highly thought of by the the goofy alphabet boys that not one of them has him ranked in the top 10. The IBF has him at 13 and the WBA has him at 15 behind Travis Kaufman coming in at 13 and Magomed Abdusalomov in the 11 spot. Have you ever seen Mag fight? He only has to be one of the worst heavyweights in history.

I have to ask do you really believe that it was a good thing that Scott was the favorite? I don't believe that the experts thought Scott was the favorite because of how good they thought he was. I believe they had him as the favorite because of how bad they believed Chisora to be.

I will tell you how I look at it. I believe that I am a realist. See I know that there are no American heavyweights that are any good. Or least not good enough to be decent champ or even close to it. I have come to accept that and if it continues the way it has been it may be a long time before that changes.

With that said. I believe you Brits are easily satisfied when it comes to your heavyweights. I also believe some of you confuse what they say with what they have actually accomplished in the ring. But if it makes you happy that they can beat top 50 fighters that have accomplished little to nothing in their entire career by all means continue to cheer them on.

It was both. The '0' fools a lot of people, particularly in the States. Chisora was also coming off losses and that can also tell a false tale.

Scott is a good fighter, he would have success against other opponents however Chisora was wrong for him.

Anyhow, Chisora is good imo and if you had a ref who allowed inside fighting in all of his bouts I don't think he would lose many at all.

Now you're being surly. Chisora already has a win over a ring ranked top 10 fighter (Helenius) and he gave Vitali arguably his hardest fight since Lennox in Germany last year.

The guy only has 20 pro fights and has been in with top fighters giving them all they could handle.

I assume surly is British slang for find amusing because that is all it boils down to. All the Helenius fight proved to me is the fact that the Nordic Nightmare is a joke. If you need more proof may I suggest you watch the Williams and Sprott fights.

Why Helenius is still ranked in the Ring's top 10 is beyond me? My guess is that he must have the rest of the photographic portfolio of ole Oscar in fishnet stockings. But I will admit that I thought Chisora won but it surely wasn't such a dominant win that I was overly impressed with Chisora. At least I don't remember being that impressed.

As for the Vit fight if he was in his prime it might say something. But since Vit was old and showed his age and was hurt and still won just about every round, all the fight told me is what I just stated that he was old etc.

The bottom line for me is that Chisora is good enough to give old fighters and untested fighters a decent bout. With that said I believe that is all he will ever amount to. And if that excites you then I say enjoy it while it last.

            sur·ly
            /ˈsərlē/
            Adjective
Bad-tempered and unfriendly: "he left with a surly expression".
            Synonyms
            morose - gruff - sullen - sulky
Sulky is what I was referring to.

Well Helenius is there, deserved or not. Also, I don't think Chisora is the type of fighter to ever really impress a neutral since his style is not aesthetic and he gets hit a lot. He is kind of like Froch in that respect, but also like Hatton in terms of getting inside to work the body and relentless coming forward.

He'd give Wlad a good fight too, I'm certain of that. But then you'd just say he's old or past prime or something.

Like I said, any time Chisora comes in shape and is allowed to go the body by the referee he will likely come out on top. I don't care who he's in with, it'll be a good fight (isn't this why we watch the sport?).

There is nothing sulky about it I just believe his fans give him to much credit. I also don't think he as good as you all seem to think. I also never said I didn't like to watch him fight because I actually do. I was even a little upset that his fight was not shown live in the US.

As far as Vitali I believe it ridiculous for anyone to think that he is not old and past his prime and not even the fighter he was just a couple of years ago. Because to me it is beyond obvious.

As far as Wlad is concerned he is also is most definitely past his prime. But he was always a better fighter then his bro and still has plenty left in the tank.

As far as Chisora beating Wlad. I thought he actually showed decent head movement against Vit. However, Wlad ain't Vit and I believe that he is made to order for Wlad. So in my opinion it doesn't matter if he is in shape or out of shape or if trains six months for a fight with Wlad. I don't believe that Chisora can possibly outbox Wlad. He just isn't good enough.

Needless to say the only way he could beat Wlad is in my opinion by stoppage. And since he has no real power and Wlad's supposed glass chin is highly overrated I don't ever see that happening.
