I have absolutely nothing against staying busy, but I would rather see 1-2 fights a year vs good level opponents than 3 fights a year vs crap level opponent.

To put it in perspective once more, a lot of people are hating on Haye for fighting Harrison at the time. But the guy Audley KOd in one round in his pro debut, was the last guy Pianeta beat before he fought Wlad. Now, THAT's shocking.

I just can't stand guys like Wienerschnitzel who has close to 0 knowledge of the game, making 4 alts all claiming Wlad's the GOAT, when he's not even in the top 10 on any respectable list. And then try and back it up with the fact that he's "keeping busy" or "fight's whoever is available".

Ah, fair enough. Let's agree to disagree; Wlad-Haye will always be a thorny issue I think.

          Probably.

But I've gone a little dead on Haye tbh. I feel a bit of indifference towards him. It might ignite again, but I'm not even excited about Haye-Fury,

I have no problem with the Klitchsko brothers. I actually like them both. I enjoy their fights and I could care less where they're from. I do however can't wait for the day the Heavyweight division will be good again. This has a lot to do with their dominance in this weight class lol, there is no one to challenge them.

lol at mentioning Mercer, Botha and Barrett. Two were glorified journeymen without a single good win on their record and Mercer had his prime ten years before fighting Wlad. Not exactly great wins were they?

Why can't we? He's not a quarter of the fighter he is today? Of course he isn't! Because now he's fighting bum after bum. He would be **** if he wasn't completely superior to everyone he's ever fought since the age of 25. And when he's finally stepped it up, he's looked like **** as he did against Haye, Ibragimov, Byrd and Sanders.

Sanders wasn't a boring fight as per se, because he got KTFO but it was a shock to the boxing world at the time.
There are many points I can't agree on here.

My impression is you wrote this hot-headed. Usually your posts make much more sense.

That's what happens when Wienerschnitzel is on the forum.

You know that I have a lot of respect for Wlad and I think he's a great champion. I've always been upfront that I don't think he is the most entertaining guy in the world but that is what it is.

I'd actually agree with Eddie Hearn and say he's the second best fighter in the world at the moment.

he was from brooklyn, controversial, and knocked people the hell out early. he was one of the biggest sports stars ever.
The 1980s were better than the 2000s. The 2010s might get better, still early to tell.

Witherspoon, Page, Tucker, Weaver, Bruno would be better than anyone any K fought (outside of Lennox Lewis). The 1980s was also the period of Holmes and Spinks who weren't bad. Don't judge Spinks solely by his Tyson fight.

And second - if the Ks were knocking people out instead of keeping out of reach they would have more fans. I don't like the Emanuel Stewart style. It's effective but I don't like it.

Boxing has its race-divided fans and that is certainly true whether it upsets you or not..
