The post was related to Mayweather and how he apparently is a cherry-picker and Wlad isn't.

If you think Wach, Pianeta and Mormeck were the best available, then I can only laugh. Which I did.

Or would their haters feel very differently about them?
I think them just being american would do the trick.

No, they were the best available for the price. If they would start paying opponents more than £100.000 then they could perhaps get more than pinata.

It's just incredibly ironic to hear Klitschko fans say Floyd is a cherry-picker when each of his opponents have achieved a helluva lot more than pretty much any Klitschko opponent in the last 5 years.

Wlad wins his first world title against Chris Byrd in a thrilling (no just kidding) 12 round fight in 2000. Who is his first defense against? The sublime Derrick Jefferson who was KOd in 2/3 of his last fights. As if that wasn't bad enough, he goes on to defend it against Shufford who had fought like 20 journeymen in his career and even come up short in one of them. He then fights a couple of has-beens or never was (call them what you want) and loses.

Going further, having won a couple of titles again and taking care of his mandatory TT, who does he fight? Hasim Rahman! Six losses, 2 draws. Then he goes on the best run of his career, taking care of a rematch with Peter, winning over Chambers, Chagaev and Haye before going on a bum-of-the-month run against Mormeck, TT, Wach and Pianeta.

And people say Audley Harrison was a bad opponent....
TT is not bum by any means. He is the best american HW IMO.

Wlad fought everyone he could. there is a very little he could have done to improve his resume - rematching Sanders is actually the only thing that comes to my mind.

Nevertheless after he beats Povetkin his resume will look even better. If by some miracle Fury beats Haye that would be another huge opportunity for Wlad.

That's because Floyd moves through different divisions and he can pick among the best from any of those.

Wlad already conquered the whole division. There is noone there that has a space to do something. Only thing would be if someone can take the belt from his brother but that never happened.

It's not like Wlad can move down and fight the best in CW or LHW...

He already did it all he could. His resume will be significantly enhanced once he retires as some of the guys he beat or will beat will become champions.
He should fight and beat some of those new guys... but they still need time.

TT only looks better now because he beat Price twice. I was at TT-Wlad II and I got my ticket for free. That's how excited people were for that fight. I was visiting a mate, and tbh I had completely forgotten that Wlad was even fighting. He wasn't a bum the first time they fought, but he had no business in there with Wlad the second time. I know he was mandatory, so I will go easy on Wlad for that fight and I know he didn't really want the fight so..

With regards to the last, his resume could have been improved immensely! The guy had a golden ticket coming off the olympics, but waited for everyone to be fat and old before fighting anyone with a pulse. His resume would have been better had he not fought his last four fights. That's how much they stink.

And also, for someone supposedly "great" he's come out with a stinker on everyone of his biggest night. Haye, Ibragimov, Sanders, Byrd I. All incredibly boring fights.

Regardless which version of TT we are talking about he is not a bum. Even in the second fight it wasn't all that easy for Wlad. TT actually won the first round and was relatively competitive till 5th.

Wlad turned pro when he was 20. He fought very often in his early career. Coming to Purity fight he fought 24 fights in less than 2 years...

He needed time to develop. He wasn't ready for Holyfield, Tyson or Lennox at the time. Lennox turned pro when he was 24. Wlad already won his first belt when he was 24. But he needed time.. On the way he beat some excellent and some decent fighters - Mercer, Byrd, Barret, Botha.

By the time he recovered and reestablished himself after Brewster loss, Tyson and Lennox were gone and Holyfiled was way way past his prime. We can't say Wlad should have fought those fighters in the early stage of his career when he wasn't one quarter of the fighter he is today.

The characterization of the boring fight is subjective thing.
How is Sanders a 'boring fight'

His fights with Mercer, Peter, Byrd II, TT I were very exciting IMO.
