pac put BOXING on the map again. i believe he carried boxing and fought toe-to-toe with UFC to get viewership. he was the ONLY reason the "boxing is dead" argument was invalid.

he never reached floyd status, but he never had to pull the same marketing tricks floyd was forced to do (WWE, dancing with the stars, 50-cent, controversial antics, mayweather family circus, etc.)

think about it, pac only did kimmel & 24/7. he remained silent the whole time otherwise. media sought after pac, he didnt have to "make" news.... he was a foreign fighter that fought his way out of obscurity into the limelight. he didnt come from a fancy fighting pedigree, had a legendary amateur career, or olympic medal.... he just simply KNOCKED dudes out.
