Marquez vs Cotto would be grand.. But the way I see it is like this....take Cotto vs Mayweather for instance ..they fought a hell of a fight ,.respectful fight. Mayweather came out victorious as usual and as expected BUT deep down a boxing fans heart..they were both victorious.. Those are the fights that go down in history as classic. Mayweather went toe to toe , gave boxing what they craved for , and Cotto gave it every ounce of himself in that fight. I was happy with Mayweather winning and Cotto being the great contender he is,. Win win situation for me , a boxing fan. Right now I'd give the edge to Marquez , Now...I would expect as much effort from Cotto like in the Mayweather fight and would make it intense no matter who wins

hmm, at this stage in his career miguel should be more defensive, self preservation and all that.
he has the experience and proven toughness but, can be a little chinny when hit with a decent shot.
im not too sure about roach though, he works on offence and ofcourse...nearly forgot..catchweight advantage.
two factors here that wont roll for miguel cotto,
firstly, he likes a fair fight (at the correct or equally strong weight with no weakness advantage FOR HIMSELF OR OPPOSING FIGHTER).
second, roach wont change him at this stage and what the wildcard trainer offers is not what the great miguel cotto needs.
defensive trainer, its nacho all day long I.M.O.

His next fight will tell more about his choice with roach..and I highly doubt catchweighrs will have anything to do with it.

Alvarez is free to fight where he wants, like Cotto, he is his own boss.

Besides, taking on Canelo is not a good idea for Miguel who should really be at 147.
