I don't think Freddy can teach him anything new. I thought he did great with Pedro Diaz but whatever it's his choice.

Cotto is done, Roach can't help him
didn't see Steward do much to help Cotto either
Cotto isn't strong enough to do anything at JMW
Molina will kick his ass and retire him if they do fight
Cotto is running on name power alone at this point
he can get fights, but he can't win them

Cotto's last three fights could be Marquez, Bradley, Sergio, possibly the ginger

If Cotto fights anyone of those, he is getting wrecked. Specially, with a trainer like Roach.

I guess him not being able to train worth a crap explains why he's had so many champions in his stable through the years. Yeah, that's it.

I believe Cotto has plenty in the tank for at least 3 more fights.... I think that he is just lazy, and gets to slack with all these trainers.. I mean who is going to rush cotto..seeing that there's a chance of slacking he takes it... the confidence he lost was in his attack, he was best as the aggressor the stalker.....from stalking he went to just boxing..an average cotto.. roach will be pushing cotto, now what better motivation do u need other than a man who said u should've retired. You're done! He not only wants to prove himself wrong but Roach as well, so the way I see it, cotto is not taking anymore slack he's putting himself in a tight corner where the only way to comeout is by being greater. I don't think roach can teach cotto anything new but what's missing is his offense his attack..and that roach can help in..cotto is already a good boxer what made him great was his. Offense..hisLefthook was key but only when confident in his attack..he always best his oppo. By overwhelming them with repeated. Combos.. now he attacks and holds back. His uncle was strict had him as a beast..no slack. Roach is the same.. Cotto wants a change and here he's coming out of his comfort zone to find it.. I call this move an epic one. His ready to be truly pushed with a trainer that knows his weaknesses and flaws..he's ready to be a beast once again but this time pacman style.. give him a chance and let's see what's coming in his return.. war cotto puñeta

he was confident that he wouldn't get hurt while using extreme pressure and offense....mayweather lacks the power that both margo(plasterito) and pacquiao have...we saw a confident cotto , the stalker cotto....Roach can give that confidence to him permanently with some good and fast offense, a confident cotto whoops ass.. Every fighter roach ever trained were full in confidence , some took it for granted, I doubt Cotto will..give cotto the right angles , the right combo reviving his left hook , the right offense and we have the cotto of old again....I've doubted cotto these past years but roach kinda brings that fire back in me and I know cotto is going to sacrifice easy training for some confidence and offense..Cotto never had k.o. Power it was always the confidence in his offense to get thru tough spots,, ex.judah , Torres and the first margarito fight , cotto attacked til he could no longer...
