Broner is overhyped, not overrated. At this point the Ring Magazine rankings need to be seen as more or less hype since those guys are owned by Golden Boy who has a huge interest in Broner. It's well within their right to hype up an undefeated fighter of theirs as "the next Mayweather," it's just not so apparent to anybody that has actually seen him fight.

Most fans that I've talked to are pretty skeptical of "The Problem" and he hasn't always looked like he's been hyped to be. I had him beating Malignaggi but it shouldn't have been nearly a close fight. Broner didn't throw much and he was very hittable. I don't want to write off the guy though because he's still very young and still has time to develop with some signature fights and wins.

He's still got a lot of talent but he also has a long way to go before we can talk about P4P rankings. Pound-for-pound fighters are dominant against strong contenders in their weight classes. Sergio Martinez gets P4P credit for fighting and outclassing Williams and Pavlik. Broner needs to beat a few guys like that, and do it in convincing fashion, before anyone will honestly rate him as pound-for-pound.

i havent seen a fighter getting so much props for doing basically nothing since floyd mayweather. 2 loss in my book atleast against an awkward one dimensional power slugger ponce de leon and past prime feather fisted paulie. your thoughts?

im comparing them, only thing is broner has alot of hate because of how he acts. Like the guy above you said nobody thinks hes elite except for ring but they also had canelo and Ghost in top 10 lol. Nobody thinks broner is p4p not even his fans. Not even sure how hes overrated he hasnt lost yet and is still improving, he just has alot of hype

If you can win a fight without landing one significant punch then yes Paulie won the fight.
