Great. Now, I will get to read 100 posts about how Garcia/Matthysse is responsible for the success of the Mayweather/Alvarez PPV because none of the ignorant haters on this site will give Floyd credit and we all know that Alvarez has never been responsible for a single PPV buy.

Boxing's not big over here, not mainstream anyway. The Boxing community are very hardcore despite being relatively small in comparison to other sports.

Football, Rugby, Cricket, Tennis, Golf, F1 are all much bigger mainstream sports in the UK compared to Boxing.

Football, Rugby and Cricket, Tennis. Yes you're pretty much correct but some of the activities you listed don't exactly eclipse Boxing in terms of popularity.

It makes sense that the fight made it in the Canelo/Mayweather clash. The $2 million Garcia is demanding will come from the PPV earnings, which is expected to be huge. PLUS they don't have to spend as much on advertising.

They'll probably just get even if the fight was put on a different date.

I don't see where I mentioned or implied the term eclipse or elluded to it.

Golf and F1 may not be overly popular compared to Boxing but it has a wider casual audience than Boxing does.

Ernest Gabion also tweeted that with or without Garcia, Lucas will be on the undercard Sept 14th. Idk where he got that from or what. At least that's what I got from his tweet.
