I mean surely, we can all agree to that in a bi-partisan fashion.
    i will agree to this.

Hopkins had more trouble with Taylor than he did with Calzaghe, to be honest.
but activity isn't a scoring criteria so yes it could have went either way if you either use the rules or throw the rules into a flaming trash barrel. who needs clean punching and defense when you have throwing a lot but missing. now that is boxing.

hopkins opinion doesn't matter. i'd rather have the opinion of all time great richie woodhall and a featherweight(naz)

No I think what he actually said was he throws punches like my sister, referring to his technique, get it right!

I agree with you. As you can see per my sig pics, I'm a Nard fan. Personally, I would like nothing but to dismiss everything Joe did in that fight as his love taps didn't do ****. Maybe, depending on who you ask, his style contributed to Hopkins' tiring in the late rounds. But that's it.

However, in order to not seem like a completely biased ****, I go with the 'It could've went either way' routine, instead of blatantly posting my personal score of 120-108 for B-hop.

Well gee, that's a bit better for Joe, I suppose.

I will check on that though.

don't dumb yourself down for these tards who think missing=winning. these people probably think striking out in baseball is worth a run.

Lol well if you properly read the thread my original argument was that Joe had underrated power, and was a heavy handed guy, thus why no one rushed him or walked through him. I never defended his technique when he was throwing combinations, which tended to get sloppy obviously.

Thus some of your comments coming in mid way are annoying.

Hopkins did plenty of missing himself, also he is better at not showing he has been hit by keeping his chin tucked right onto his chest. Fact is Hopkins landed the better punches, but Calzaghe landed more. Even if you take 100 punches off the compubox numbers, he still lands more, and he was the aggressor throughout the fight. It was close, an ugly fight, but close. Hopkins was gassed, Joe was hitting the body and making him work harder than he wanted, if he was comfortable, that would not have been the case period.

Hokins won some rounds clearly, but there were rounds where barely anything landed from either guy, to this day I'm not sure who won but I know it was close.

lol compubox was completely off in this fight. it's been proven by multiple users who counted actual lands not misses. calzaghe did not land more and didn't land more than a couple body shots the entire fight(with nothing on them of course) pac wasn't comfortable against margarito so i guess margarito won?

the fact that hopkins made calzaghe miss almost every punch is called defense. why not give credit to hopkins for that? it's in the rules after all. cleaner punches, harder punches, more punches, hurting your opponent multiple times, and much better defense equal a much better fighter and a clear win. fighting with lots of energy is commendable but doesn't trump all those criteria.
