I this is for naught because what it boils down to is he QUIT and never sought to rematch. The talk of permanent injury is laughable when he was winning to risk blindness against hard hitting Lewis, but wouldn't continue the Byrd fight when he didn't need to throw another punch. What a warrior.

I think it's because his shoulder was hurting so he knew he could risk permanent injury, but when you're cut it doesn't hurt. If he had started to lose sight on one eye then it would have been a different story.
