Do you hate Vitali such much that you have to make stuff up? I say that because it was so obvious that Vitali was winning the fight and it was also obvious that the conversation was being lost in translation so much that Merchant was confused. So he flat out ask if Vitali thought he was losing and he clearly said "ne ne" which can be easily translated to mean '"no no." Vitali also shook his head no. Even the translator shook his head no realizing that he wasn't doing the best job translating the conversation.

Sorry fella's but he simply didn't answer when Merchant asked if he felt he was losing and went on to say something that had nothing to do with the question. You can blame the interpreter, but we can only go by what we heard. And AGAIN, for the umpteenth time, I never said Vits was losing the fight. But I do think he thought he was going to lose so choose to quit instead. If he thought he was up as far as he was he could have coasted without throwing another punch and not having to worry about "permanent injury".

What a pile of absolute bull5hit. Vitali said no twice when the question was asked, and that fact is indisputable. And as far as your mind reading capabilities are concerned. I seriously doubt that you have that kind of power so stop pretending that you do. By the way, you started out with an apology and the only thing that you should apologize for is the fact that you are wrong.

Ok, so tell me when the translator translated him saying no. Fact is you can't because he didn't, so it isn't a fact and is very disputable. And it doesn't take a mind reader to know that a guy who quits and never seeks a rematch is wary about getting a win. We saw the same thing against Wlad with Sanders where he didn't want to avenge his loss out of over cautiousness. The only thing I'm apologetic for is your ignorance. Answer me this my friend, why didn't Vits just coast to a win without having to throw another punch if he was winning so decisively? Van you name another fighter in history who quit being ahead? I can name dozens who didn't while losing. Get real man. This guy was a good fighter, but his career is hugely overrated.

Vitali clearly said 'Ne Ne' (no no) when asked if he thought he was behind on points.

He did the right thing. The injury could have affect the rest of his career, and nobody really cares that much about that lost. Everybody knows who was the better man in that fight and who was winning.

btw. I remember Wlad insisting on rematch with Sanders in postfight interview.

For someone who was complaining earlier about "not this again" you sure have a lot to say. Fact is the translator never translated no. Fact is Vittles quit. Fact is he never sought a rematch. Am I lying?

And you can remember Wlad "insisting" on a rematch all you want, but the FACT is he never sought one. If need be I can link you to an interview with Sanders where he openly wonders why Wlad never asked for a rematch. Of course this is where I expect the usual excuses about Vitaly already beat him so there was no need.

Why was he willing to risk the rest of his career against Lewis, an ATG, but not soft hitting Chris Byrd in a fight he was up on the cards in?

Hey my friend, no reason to be bitter. I said 'no this thread' when gifs and pics of Wlad and Lennox on canvas start to be posted.

I don't know why Vitali didn't rematch Byrd, but IMO there is little to none to be proven in that one. He would need to prove he can do the same thing just without being injured - I didn't need to see that. He was beating Byrd clearly - was 5-6 points ahead.

As for Wlad... It's not a good idea to rematch the opponent right after you lose, especially relatively early in your career. Lennox didn't rematch McCall right after, but he beat two bums in the meantime. That's the right thing to do. And Wlad changed the trainer as well. But then Brewster happened and Wlad needed some time to build it from scratch. Sanders in the meantime, after Vitali, was pretty much retired. I remember in 2008 there were some talks about Wlad rematching Sanders..

I think Wlad should have done that. Have no doubt he would KO him and avenge that lost anytime after Peter's fight.

But it is what it is...

Did you watch the interview while drunk?

Merchant : "So you thought you were behind in the fight?"

Vitali (shaking his head) : "Niet, niet" (translates as No, No)

It's clear as day so I don't know what the hell is wrong with you lol.
