Its funny how you guys want points taken from Floyd when guys in that video like Cotto are known for intenitally throwing low blows to guys balls. Hatton is known for wrestling and doing other things but no one cares about that. Margarito gets caught with plaster and Maniac, others defend that but this drives them crazy?
Yeah, Margarito blatantly cheats his ass off but he is idolized by the same people talking about Floyd needs to get points deducted. I think I also witnessed them praising Erik Morales for using Performance Enhancement Drugs.

Floyd uses the forearm/elbow to push fighters off and also to stop them from bum rushing into him. Like Ricky Hatton for instance is a fighter that likes to come in close and slam himself into fighters to mount an offense. Mauling puts fighter's weight on to another which will cause stamina issues upon them later in the fight. Floyd is smart to use his forearm to push them off so they can not put their body weight on him and cause a cut from a butt and any mauling.

Anyway a headbutt is a blatant foul so that's why he was fined and deducted a point. Also Floyd wouldn't have to push him off if he wasn't trying to roughhouse by pushing his forehead in Floyd's face in the beginning of the fight. To me it's not illegal to use the elbow and forearm to push off if the fighter is trying to put their body weight on you and get on in the inside.

First you mention fighters who did something wrong and say it was bad ..... no problem.

      but

then you say what Floyd does is OK even though it's illegal. That is nonsense!

Go check out the Castillo vs Floyd fight .... the ref was warning Floyd throughout the fight and even got deducted a point.

I just knew you would be the first one to jump on this thread like a dog on heat. What a surprise.

Should we "reveal" Hatton's bag of dirty tricks while we're at it?

Being able to hold effectively to nullify the opponents offense is actually not just something you "just do". It's like inside-fighting - it takes years of practice and skill. Calling it amateurish exposes yourself as nothing but a senseless fool when it comes to boxing. They aren't even remotely allowed to hold in amateur boxing anyway so keep pissing down your legs while you're at it. I guess wrestlers are "amateurish" as well. Only thing they do is holding, right?
Guys like Berto or Vargas (just to use examples) don't know how to tie up effectively. That's how Berto got punished badly by Guerrero.

Next time in sparring, try to hold someone effectively and see how well you do.

When has Cotto ever done that? Are you contending the Judah low blows were intentional? Drama queen Judah always acts like he's getting hit low. Ask Amir Khan. Even then, one fight and now Cotto is known for it? Mayweather uses his elbows way more than Cotto has ever thrown low. Those aren't comparable.

                this is some b^t&h thread

fighters tie up & drag in the clinch, push dwn on the neck, step on feet, bash with knees, headbutt, lean their body weight, low blow, kidney punch and push off and hit during the break in almost every boxing match ive ever seen.

Look at most people in top 10 p4p and you'll see they employ many of these tactics on a regular basis

IF the fighters aint moaning and the ref aint got a problem with it then why don't u lil haters just the f%^k up??

To quote Ricky Hatton - "this aint no tickling contest"

Do you see Floyd cry like a little girl when others try to use these tactics on him?? No he just deals with it like any true champion should do.

Actually in his entire professional career I cant really think of a time when ive ever seen Floyd cry to the ref - I have a lot of respect for that

Its proper technique. Tyson was famed for it, so was B-Hop, its how you should be taught to throw a short to mid hook. Elbow should basically be in line with your shoulder and if it was to miss them, you should be pretty much hitting them with your forearm/elbow. Nothing particularly dirty about it unless it is blatantly intentional.

Hate the guy, needs to be sacked.
I agree the best thing Cortez did for boxing was retire. I use to hate the way he moved around the ring ALWAYS in the way. He like danced too just so obnoxious; had a tough time concentrating on the fight. Completely messed up the mayweather Ortiz fight; 70 bucks down the drain. I blame Cortez and Ortiz 50/50, and the hatton fight was a complete disgrace. Broke the in fighting up soo fast even hbo started commentating on it, and the point deduction was just awful. Give me Kenny bayless or drawing a blank but the corrales Castillo ref.

If Mr Washington DC ref VS Khan and Peterson was there, May would stop after 3 deductions. Let's rumble!
