If the refs don't see it and call him out for it, why should he stop?

One of those grey area's where it isn't legal but it's not outright illegal I.e low blows or headbutts.
Similar to holding in that sense.
Bending the rules and not "breaking" them, per se, is something that's been around forever and always will be. It's more of an "old school" tactic.
If you can get away with it then by all means continue. But if you're getting warned for it then continueing would be foolish on that fighters part.Comment

The thing is Floyd uses it, it don't result in a ko, cos he cant punch. Tyson Fury used it once and his opponent was flat out for the count, meaning Cunning can use the excuse that he lost solely cos of the elbow.Comment

Since we are talking rules does anyone have a link to any officially accepted rules from any of the athletic commissions or sanctioning bodies? This is a hard argument to have without having an accepted set of rules as your starting point.Comment
