I'd say Bradley would be one of the worst choices you could have to attempt to emulate Floyd Mayweather.

Other than skin tone they are nothing alike what so ever.

They're runners (for the most part) just like Floyd. Canelo's main challenge is to cut off the ring and catch up with Mayweather.

I don't think Alvarez has to worry too much about what Floyd throws, he can take his punches, just like he took the bigger Trout's with ease.

Canelo's main challenge is to consistently get up close and personal with FMJ like Cotto did, if he can manage that, he can stop him.

I thought Floyd had no legs?

And Bradley is barely a runner either. He fights coming forward as much as he does going backward.

Other than out and out brawlers I can't think of two fighters who are less alike.

Alvarez doesn't move, he's a static fighter. Everyone has legs compared to him. The challenge for Canelo is to adapt his immobile style to put pressure on.

And Bradley is barely a runner either. He fights coming forward as much as he does going backward.
He'll run as soon as he's hit hard, ask Manny Pacquiao. Bradley's an exceptionally good backfoot fighter when he fights that way.

shawn porter to mimic the size and arm length. he's a good athlete, too.

i'm trying to think of a solid, less than top shelf JMW who is a counterpuncher. ishe smith, perhaps.

i'm not saying these are reasonable sparring partners, given where they are in their careers, but they would help him get ready. maybe somebody with speed, and a punchingbag to round things off

You didn't say compared to Canelo you said Bradley is a runner like Mayweather.

Neither are "runners" but Mayweather certainly moves a lot more effectively than Bradley when he wants to. Bradley's movement isn't great at all.

Bradley's backfoot isn't exceptional at all. Bradley isn't exceptional at anything.

And Bradley tried to come foward against Pacquaio. When it inevitabley didn't work and wasn't working he tried something else.

When fighting others he moves forward as much as he does backward. He's probably done more moving forward in his career than he has backward.

He is literally the worst sparring partner I could think of. Pretending that someone like Bradley would be a sparring partner, that is.

The only person he needs is ODLH but I think Canelo hits too hard for him
