I'm suggesting he doesn't need to search out big money fights or have to take rematches he's not interested in purely for financial reasons. JMM has made enough money that he can take the fights that most appeal to him. He's done the work to get there.

He has closed the Manny chapter, if he doesn't want to go back to it, he doesn't have to.

He really hasn't made all that much money in boxing, a tiny fraction of what Pac has made. I woulnd't be surprised if Pac has had 1 fight purses near matching JMM's career total. He was sour about it for a long time. The best revenge then is to pass on 13m for less than 1/2 that much.

JMM has never seen the money that Manny and Floyd have earned. If he's smart he will figure out that he has a very short window of time left and making a few extra millions now is better than hoping the millions he has will last.

Think about it, if you saved up $20 mil by age 40 and lived a pretty extravagant lifestyle with cars and houses how long do you think that money will last versus earning several more million to provide a greater cushion.

You don't need Manny or Floyd money to be set financially.

JMM seems far more intelligent and less extravagant than those two. If he felt he needed more money he would be all over the money fights, but his lack of interest suggests he is more than set financially. His last two fights with Manny, his fight with Floyd, this fight with Bradley, a potential fight with Cotto...he has made plenty of money, and that's just in the ring.

No Marquez has nothing to prove anymore when it comes to pacquiao. He got robbed 3 times and he finally took care of business in the 6th rd. That KO pretty much sums up that Marquez was the better fighter than pacquiao.
