Prime Morales was a looong time ago, he has been shot for like a decade. Manny fights more guys coming off losses than any other top p4p guy in history, not his fault though he just has a team that is very good at matchmaking to keep him out of trouble.
Lots of reasons to fight Morales:

    1. avenge Pac's first loss in many years
    2. Morales ATG, Raheem 0 who lost his very next fight and got himself banned from HBO for pathetic effort
    3. Pac had just moved to 130, thought to have peaked there. Wouldn't move up to 135 for 2 years
    4. Morales 2 was an highly anticipated ppv. Nobody ever wanted to see Raheem on TV
    5. A triple washed up Morales far outperformed Ortiz vs Maidana, and Paulie vs Cano. One of the reasons why fighting Morales for the 7th time is worth more than Raheem

He gave them rematches because they were the fights people wanted, that made the most sense to him at a time when big money fights where needed and because it's what he wanted to do.

Marquez is not in any of those positions. He wants a few more fights after closing the most important chapter of his boxing story.

Are you implying JMM does not want big money fights?

I'm sure at 40 years old he isn't going to pick young killers to fight but rather older better known stars that get him paid.

Also Bradley will never outdraw Manny so if JMM wants money he either fights Floyd again or Manny.

I'm suggesting he doesn't need to search out big money fights or have to take rematches he's not interested in purely for financial reasons. JMM has made enough money that he can take the fights that most appeal to him. He's done the work to get there.

He has closed the Manny chapter, if he doesn't want to go back to it, he doesn't have to.

It's fine man, Juan hasn't learned from the Chris John episode, it's on him. Pac can move on, he has a beefy resume otherwise. JMM, not so much, it's him who's latched his wagon to Pac. If he wants to unlatch now, great, lets see how far he gets. Even Bradley with career shortening damage in his previous fight will easily be JMM's 2nd best scalp, lets see if he's up to it.

JMM has never seen the money that Manny and Floyd have earned. If he's smart he will figure out that he has a very short window of time left and making a few extra millions now is better than hoping the millions he has will last.

Think about it, if you saved up $20 mil by age 40 and lived a pretty extravagant lifestyle with cars and houses how long do you think that money will last versus earning several more million to provide a greater cushion.
