williams would be way too big for hatton. hatton was 5'7' at best, with short arms.

williams would have an advantage in height of over half a foot, and a whopping 15 inches in reach.

williams would throw a ton of punches, and hatton would walk into them.

      knockout in 8-10.

        8-10?

Hatton doesnt see 6 rounds. Pwill's chin is excellent at 147lbs, he would walk through any punches hatton throws and swallow him up.

Um....wow ok? One win makes a great career? Hatton beat Kostya Tyszu and was the top fighter at 140lbs for a few years. He had a better career.

dirk, this about his career at 147. welterweight. not his entire career.

Thread is a little unclear and pointless then. Hatton barely had a "career" at 147 - he had two fights there.

Hatton will be remembered for what he did at 140. He made almost no impact at 147. He returned to 140 because he knew 147 was not his weight. He beat a belt holder in a fight many thought he lost. Williams had one loss at welterweight and he turned that lose around with a first round KO in his next fight. He was feared and avoided at 147 and he was very impressive. He was a much better welterweight than Hatton in my opinion.

kostya was past prime when hatton got to him and was unmercifully mugged with illegal tactics allowed by your typical crooked british referee. kostya never fought again. Paul Williams win over a prime margarito is better than any win on hatton's resume.
