It doesn't need to season that long because at the end of the day Golovkin is 31 years old and Ward is 29 so it would be nice for it to happen while both are still in their respective prime. The last time we waited for a super mega fight to "season" it ended up overcooking..

Ward won't shut him out. This isn't like Mayweather v canelo, who is going to be ****d. Ggg actually has solid fundamentals. May will destroy raggedy Andy canelo, but ggg ward can end in 2 ways, ward takes ud or ggg stops him.

Willing to fight anyone but Ward needs to season? sounds to me like they realise they would not walk through Ward. Either that or HBO does not want to sacrifice either fighter to the dreaded L just yet.

Ward vs. GGG ?? Are you joking ?? Golovkin has had 27 opponents. All of them sum up 111 KO's losses (substracting his losses to Golovkin). There's even a funny guy who has 109 fights, with 102 losses (37 of them KO's). You are buying a hype too quickly. GGG has just beaten 1 competitive fighter: Macklin, who had already 2 KO's losses before this fight.

I see a lot of people hating on GGG but I think his power is real and its not like Ward runs a lot. Ward will take the fight to you and go right thru his opponent and break them down with aggressive technical boxing. To me that gives GGG a punchers chance cuz Ward will not back down. The only question is can GGG carry his power to 168?? If not, he's in trouble if he can than Ward has a tough fight in front of him.

I thought about this too. On the flipside, what if he's even more powerful? like Adonis Stevenson appears to be.
