Comments Thread For: Sanchez: Golovkin Ready For Ward, But it Needs to Season

Abel Sanchez, trainer of IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (27-0, 24KOs), feels his boxer is more than ready for a potential big fight with WBA super middleweight king Andre Ward (26-0, 14KOs). Ward vs. Golovkin is becoming a hot topic of discussion, as both boxers are lacking many lucrative opponents in their respective divisions.

Tom Loeffler, managing director of K2 Promotions, says his company is not going to rush a potential Ward vs. Golovkin clash. Loeffler wants the fight to gain more momentum as Golovkin continues to build his name at 160, and states the encounter with Ward will potentially happen in 2014. Golovkin will return to HBO in November and may take another fight beforehand. [Click Here To Read More]

              i can dig that.

these two gotta fight while they're in their primes. preferably before either lose. if it doesn't happen this year i'm obviously ok with that. next year i'd really like to see it. if not, then in 2015 for sure. who knows where ward will be at that stage with his weight.

it, meaning the fight, needs to season.

he's saying that golovkin is ready, but the fight is not.

Funny fight for Ward. If GGG wants to stay undefeated stay away from Ward. No Brainer!! Fight a Froch, a Kessler, a Bika or..., hell fight Glen Johnson!! He'll come back & fight your azz.
