I think floyd should make it clear after this fight he's staying at ww.
Floyd would starve himself back down to lightweight to avoid Golovkin

Did fighting at 147lbs and winning a title at 147lbs, make Hatton a 147lbs fighter?

      I'll await your answers.......
Again you're pulling up a fringe/paper titlist to compare 2x SWW champ, #1 contender, and probably unified/Lineal SWW champ to.

Isn't Canelo supposedly a middleweight, or even a light heavyweight as some people called him? The fight would take place at 154 (or a catch weight if Floyd wants to drain him) so I'm not sure what the big deal is.

          • Money ducks no one! He's the king of boxing and would pick GGG appart! GGG is good but Flod's on another level.
The problem is that GGG isnt big enough a name, would not pay that much. Right. There's no interest in a Floyd vs GGG fight, not like against ..drumsss!!!!... 22 year old Canelo who is the best boxing has to offer or... drums.... Guerrero.
GGG? Not famous enough man, never heard of him. Floyd's a prize fighter people, he fights for the big bucks, and the good boy from where? Kazakistan? He doesnt bring them.
See people? That's how you duck like a true king of boxing.

              • It's sad that people are ok with a MW calling out a WW. But the same people are pissed that Mayweather fought JMM coming out of retirement. (Even though it was JMM that called out Mayweather, but what ev) And then turn around and give Canelo credit for figting a string of WWs and LWWs.

Martinez is the fight that GGG should be screaming about. It's very possible with the promoters and the fact that they both are HBO fighters. Mayweather is signed to Showtime so the fight isn't possible. But of course, most of you hatin azz dummies will ignore that and say Floyd is ducking him. Carry on....

If this was Quillin doing this then you'd see complete outrage from the manny lovers/floyd haters/nsb la raza/e race baiters/ klit fanatics about a mw champ calling out the ww champion. But hey-thats how posters act on nsb when floyd losing is more important to them than actually watching boxing.

And again you're picking at the bones of the post rather than address the meat of it. That is Mayweather fighting at 154lbs where possible doesn't make him a 154lbs fighter. Even if it is for a linear title.

Also, Mayweather drag Hatton anywhere. Hatton's team clearly stated after the Tszyu/ Gatti fights that they weren't ready for fights the magnitude of Mayweather and Cotto. By the time Hatton was done with the likes of comedy champ, Carlos Maussa, Mayweather was 147lbs champion. Hatton had far less to lose fighting at 147lbs. If they wanted that fight, they could've taken it when it looked like the Mayweather/Judah fight looked ti have fallen through. Billy Graham was praying that Gatti would beat Baldomir. I remember his face looking like a slapped backside in the studio after that fight complaining that a lot of money just went up in smoke! LOL

                    • this is getting ridiculous, Floyd needs to take his ass back down to 147 division and stay there after the Canelo fight. this Golovkin fight isnt happening and it shouldnt. why dont Golovkin call out Martinez or Ward? punk
