Considering Showtime invested so much money, they are going to want huge PPV numbers. This is why they've matched Mayweather against Canelo, even though he is a very real threat. They aren't going to make their money back if Floyd fights a bunch of Guerreros.
If Mayweather manages to beat Canelo, Showtime may allow him to fight a couple of vastly outmatched opponents in his next 2 fights, but they are going to want another huge fight eventually. Perhaps Matthysse will suffice, but I have my doubts. What's more likely is they'll push for Manny, Martinez, or Golovkin. If Floyd is leaving his next huge fight until the end, Martinez won't be an option: he'll have retired by then. That means it's between Manny and Golovkin. Who else would be big enough? Lara? Garcia? Broner?
