How can people be so dumb as to shout 'HES TOO BIG!', yet allow Mayweather to face Oscar, Cotto and Canelo at JMW? If Golovkin could make the weight, he is in exactly the same position as Cotto or Canelo or any other 154 fighter, he's just much better than all of them.
If a fighter wants to fight in a different weight class he can, you don't go calling Pacquaio a featherweight do you? Why? Because he fights at welterweight. If GGG wants to go down to 154 to fight Mayweather, he will be a JMW, END OFF. If a heavyweight wants to lose 40+ pounds and fight at welterweight what is the problem with that? Do you think he will have any advantage in muscle? Do you think a fighter will be able to hydrate 40+ pounds overnight and somehow become a heavyweight overnight again? If a welterweight wants to move up and face a super middleweight what's the problem? There is none whatsoever, if you can make the weight you are game and part of that division.
Floyd should NOT be fighting in the JMW division if he can't make the weight effectively, and if he does that's his own problem and risk, nobody elses. He always likes to claim he fights the best, I'd love to see him say that to Golovkin at 154, he would get wrecked.
Weighing more than somebody doesn't automatically equate to being bigger than them.
You have some ******ed logic, ricky hatton weighed in at the same as a heavyweight in the past....i bet you would call that a fair fight between him and david haye "as they're the same size" ........

One. I think Mayweather's "championship" reign at 154lbs is little more than paper. He's had a couple of showpiece fights there and not really campaigned at the weight. If he'd moved up, started with a contender or two and remained there after winning a title, I'd agree. But it's obvious Mayweather's taken fights at 154lbs only when necessary and when it paid the most. The risks have been very, very calculated.
Two. I'm talking about physicality. Jones Jr was obviously no heavyweight. His skill and still-functioning physicial gifts allowed him to bridge the gap in a calculated risk fight against John Ruiz. anyone with an ounce of sense knew he couldn't campaign at the weight. Mayweather's skills can allow him to bridge the gap in sparing fights at 154lbs (seeing as he never weighs in there). But he keeps moving back down to 147lbs. I happy to say that Mayweather isn't really "The Man" at 154lbs because it's not where he campaigns. He fights there when opportunity and money presents themselves.
Golovkin is a really exciting prospect and I can't wait to see where his career goes. It doesn't bother me if he calls Mayweather out. But I can totally understand if it never happens.

Hes not only 2 weight divisions bigger than Floyd (147 lets be realistic) hes also arguably the biggest puncher in the division.

I don't think you grasped what I said I meant. Are you comparing Ricky becoming a fat slob in between fights to me saying if you can make the weight on weigh in you are classed as a fighter in that division??? You're confused.
I do not agree with this.

You would probably agree to Andre Ward & Mayweather @ 160lbs.
