I know it's wrong and I'm sure there are plenty of guys who trained there and went on to win their fights.
But for me it's synonymous with losing and like a bad omen.
Regardless canelo loses this fight wherever he does his training.
The only guy I see beating Floyd is Amir Khan wearing a motorcycle helmet and a neck brace.
Give this guy some green, LOL at the Khan part.

The English national team was also criticised for training in the high altitude and some commentators blamed their poor performance in the Euros for this.

The theory goes that it simply impedes your ability to train because it's too damn humid so any potential benefit in red blood cell count is offset by a poor training camp.
Oscar trained there his whole career. It had more to do with oscar being shot and dropping a weightclass than high altitude training.

I would hardly call losing a penalty shootout to Italy in the quarters a poor performance, especially compared to their performances in other recent tournaments.

I also don't think any rational person would say the reason Oscar lost to Manny was because he trained at big bear.
